"My dog ate my homework."

Not my homework. I am convinced, however, that she would eat my homework if I had any.

Chelsea got into my purse last night and ate the following:

2 pens
an emery board
mascara (which was an Estee Lauder sample, thank you, not one I had paid for)
wintergreen mints
orange flavored gum (not to her liking, she chewed it up & spit it out on the carpet)
antacids (I only had four or five in a baggie) (she ate the antacids and left the baggie)
various notes and receipts, also shredded & spit out on the carpet

If you ask me how she is doing these days, I am most likely to say "in trouble."

I believe that nine times out of ten, when a dog does something "bad," it is out of boredom and basically, the pet owner's fault. I was on the computer, duggles was watching basketball. Neither of us got up to see what she was up to. She is now nine months old. I need to hang my purse up, out of reach, shut the bedroom door, have her on a leash in the house, or incarcerated in her kennel.

I continue to ask duggles to put the remote on top of the entertainment stand. Thankfully, when she got into my purse, she didn't eat my wallet, my new $300. prescription sunglasses or my cell phone. It could have been worse. And, she didn't eat anything that hurt her or made her sick. The good thing about it is that now she has fresh breath.

Rusty chewed up our Comcast remote. I was so embarrassed bringing in the remote to exchange it... But we got a tug-a-jug and several chew toys so now Rusty just brings us a shoe if he has to go out.

Good luck!!!

They can get into the darndest things, can't they? I had my coat pocket chewed into for a biscuit once. Little devils. Happy Easter! Warmly, Cathy ^..^

oh my...sounds like my gb. It is just like having a toddler...everything goes into their mouths!

I like it is funny that she did not care for the gum.
