Crazy days

It is crazy around here.  Doug's son is getting married on Saturday.  The rehearsal and dinner are on Friday.  Most of the family will be here on Friday.  Doug has been mowing.  I've been cleaning.  We've been running around like...well...chickens with their head off.  There I said it.  (Don't tell anyone in the pen in the back yard that I said that!)
I made one last effort to find something new to wear to the wedding.  I wasn't thrilled with anything I had at home.  I suppose I could have made do.  I found a skirt and top and bought new Clark's sandals.  The sandals are sooooooooooooo light and comfortable.  I just didn't want to have to wear panty hose.  Ugh.  We will be outdoors at noon this Saturday.  If you aren't from around these parts, it has been powerful hot as of late.
I've been babying my nails and for now have ten perfect nails.  I even had to trim the nails on my right hand.
Chelsea has had a bath and we treated everyone for fleas this evening.
It has been non-stop crazy, but we are just about ready!

Busy, busy!!! Enjoy the wedding, and your new outfit! I love that you said, "powerful hot" as this is something my Southern Nana says all the time! Powerful hungry, or powerful thirsty....you get the drift.
Can't wait to hear about it. Stay cool!!

Enjoy the festivities. This is the season in our lives for weddings, for sure. I will be attending wedding no. 3 for the summer on Saturday in Lafayette. I don't get it: I didn't go to nearly this many weddings in my 20s as I do in my 50s and nationally, there aren't as many weddings now as back then. Guess I just know more people now.

Doesn't that drive you nuts? When you don't need something, there are so many cute things to buy, but if you do need something for a special occasion, it's no where to be found. Have a great time at the wedding and stay cool. Panty hose? I'm not even sure they sell those here in Phoenix anymore. I haven't seen them in years. Just thinking about them makes me all sweaty.
