Winter Wren

duvet cover, pillow shams
My daughter, the wonderful gift-giver, gave me a down-filled comforter for my birthday in October.  I've been wanting to show you this duvet cover that I bought from West Elm.  It was not expensive.  The best part is, it isn't the kind of material that corgi hair adhers to.

I've never had a down filled comforter.  Can you believe that?  It is about time.  We sleep on a heated mattress pad.  Between the heated mattress pad and the comforter, we call it the heat sandwich.
If you haven't looked at West Elm, do so.  It rocks.
How do you like to sleep?  Do you have a heat pad or a comforter?  How do you stay warm?

Oh goodness - - - I would BURN UP!!! I have a comforter on our bed, but most nights I push it off of me and just sleep under the flannel sheet - - - that's AFTER I turn the heat down to the mid 60's. Still, many nights I wake up around 4 AM BURNING UP and have to get up, move around, get a drink, and try to cool down!

We have a down comforter for the winter and a light bedspread for the summer. We just got a featherbed topper for our mattress..I love it! Really helps me with my shoulder pain..

I got a down comforter from Lands End last year love, love, love it! In the winter we use it, a woven cotton blanket, and thick flannel sheets. Summer we used just the comforter.

Your duvet cover is really pretty. I use a cover in the summer, a white striped one, but in the winter I love the creamy white of comforter and don't cover it.

That is a lovely design - the birds are so pretty! We like to keep cool temps in the bedroom so we can snuggle under 2 comforters!! So cozy!

you don't mind being hooked up to electricity all night? I'd prefer the feathers over and under to be cosy.. I love your new wren set :)

I sleep on top of the bed, on top of the quilt, with two cotton throws on me, and utilize five pillows, tucked in all around.
We have a king bed, two corgis, and when Jim is home, he gets about eighteen inches to spread out! Usually he gives up and goes and sleeps on the twin in my craft room. Keep in mind....he's nearly 6ft. 3...and 325 lbs!
