Lady Di and I were pregnant together. She was pregnant with William who was born on June 21, 1982 and I was pregnant with my daughter who was born on July 7, 1982.
Then Lady Di died on my son's birthday on August 31, 1997. My son was ten years old on that night and we had been to Cracker Barrel to celebrate. He wore a coonskin cap that night, much to the horror of his older sister. When we walked into the house, my phone was ringing. It was a friend who knew of my adoration for Lady Di. "Turn on the television!" she said. It was so sad.

glad to see that someone else is all excited about the royal engagement. I have been trying to watch everything on tv about Kate (she is absolutely adorable). The dateline NBC a few nights ago was really good. My husband thinks I am nuts.
My middle name is Diana (after Lady Di). William is only a little bit younger than I am, and I have to say that I had a semi crush on him when I was younger :-). I grew up in Europe and even though we weren't in England, my country still followed the royal family very closely ;-)
I am excited as well.
I just hope William is as kind and wonderful as his mother.
It would be nice that a royal marriage could truly be a happy union, rather than what they usually are...shams, fake faces and miserable people living separate lives in their castles.
Hoping this couple will not be the norm....happiness is long overdue for those boys.
I was pregnant with Camille at the same time. She was put into such a hard life but made the best of it didn't she? I have loved watching her boys grow up!
Hi Cheryl, I had an addiction to Princess Di too, bought all her books and yes I love her fashion sense. When she died it was so sad. Her boys sure have a side of there Mother in them. I love it. Sandy:O)
I loved Diana, too. My mom was always fascinated by her, so I grew up always knowing about her and what was going on. It was so sad when she died. I thought it was so sweet William gave Kate Diana's ring. It's nice to see that William seems to be a good person, just like his mom.
