at 4:20 a.m.

Many years ago I dated a guy who told me that his mother woke every morning at 4:30 a.m.
I thought that was insane.
It is insane.
And now it is my turn.

Not every single morning, but often, I wake up.
I am wide awake, I reach over and pick up my alarm clock and push the button to light it up.
It always reads the same.
4:20 a.m.

I am usually having a hot flash.
or heartburn.
or both.  (that was the case this morning)

I get up.
I start the dryer.
I start a load of laundry.
I take medicine for the heartburn.
I get a bottle of cold water.
I look at facebook and see what the world is doing.

At 4:20 a.m.
I am awake.

Poor thing! My mom is the same way...she's always been like that though. At least you get a head start on the day:)

When I was still teaching that was when I woke up every day too - - - even when my alarm was set for a little later.

However, I choose to stay in bed, read, doze, and TRY to get more rest now that I don't have to get up and trudge off to schoo.

Some nights go like that....my doc says that sleeping through the night ends with menopause. Grrr, just one more dang thing that gets screwed up with age. Hang in there. Thank heavens we have blogs to look at during the wee hours.

Whew - so when do you go to bed at night? At least in the am - you are alone with your thoughts - right?
